Verity is an AI-powered literacy platform designed to help students in grades 3-8 strengthen reading comprehension, critical reasoning, and written communication skills through personalized educational exercises.
This Privacy Policy explains how Verity collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares information when parents and children use our services.
Verity is operated by Samavia Ahmad, a sole proprietor doing business as Verity ("Verity," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account, accessing the platform, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

Verity is an educational technology platform focused on developing literacy skills that support independent thinking, reading comprehension, reasoning, and written communication.

When a parent creates an account, we may collect:

Payment information is processed by Stripe and is subject to Stripe's privacy practices. Verity does not store complete credit card information on its own systems.
Information We Collect About Children
We collect only the information reasonably necessary to provide the educational services offered through Verity.
Child Profile Information
- First name

- Country
- State, province, or territory
- Optional support needs (only if a parent chooses to provide them)
Optional Support Needs
During profile creation, a parent may optionally tell us whether their child benefits from any additional support (for example, reading, writing, attention, or executive functioning support). Providing this information is entirely optional and may be skipped. We use it only to personalize the starting difficulty of a child's sessions — it never affects a child's placement or assessment results. This information is never sold and is never shared with third parties. A parent can update or remove it at any time from Settings.

When users access the Service, certain technical information may be collected automatically, including:

6. AI Processing and Educational Feedback
Verity uses artificial intelligence technologies to provide educational feedback and personalize learning experiences.
We currently use Anthropic's Claude API to:
- Analyze reading responses
- Analyze writing responses
- Generate literacy feedback
- Assess reading proficiency
- Assess writing proficiency
- Recommend appropriate exercise difficulty
- Support progress tracking
AI-generated feedback is intended to support literacy development and should not be considered professional educational, psychological, or medical advice.
AI Training
Child submissions processed through Anthropic's API are not used to train Anthropic's public AI models.
7. Service Providers
We work with trusted third-party providers that help us operate the Service.
Current providers may include:
- Clerk (authentication and account management)
- Supabase (database and storage)
- Anthropic (AI processing)
- Stripe (payments)
- Resend (email delivery)
- Google Sign-In (authentication)
- Vercel Analytics (performance analytics)
- Google Analytics (website analytics)
These providers may process information solely to deliver services on our behalf.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.

Verity is not a social network.
Children cannot:

- Share information publicly through the platform
All submitted work remains private within the child's account and parent dashboard.

Verity may use aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information to:

Information used for these purposes will not identify individual children.

Verity's exercises are designed for literacy practice.

If we become aware that unnecessary personal information has been submitted, we may remove it where reasonably practicable.

- Parent account information is retained while an account remains active.
- Child educational information is retained while an account remains active.
- Progress history is retained to support long-term educational tracking.
Parents may request deletion at any time.
Upon deletion:
- Information is removed from active systems.
- Information may remain temporarily in secure backups.
- Backup copies are removed through normal backup expiration processes.
- Certain information may be retained where required by law.

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information.
